The Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR) has ten regional offices, 146 hearing
offices (including five satellite offices) and four national hearing centers. There are approximately
1,300 Administrative Law Judges and 6,100 support staff
in the field organization. Additionally, administrative
law judges may travel to other sites such as local
Social Security offices to conduct hearings if needed.
NOTE: Requests for reconsideration,
hearings, and Appeals Council reviews should, in
general, be requested through our network of local
Social Security field offices. To obtain information
