Important Notice to BSO Users

The Electronic Wage Reporting suite of services will be unavailable from 4 PM on 12/14/2007 until 6 AM on 12/17/2007 due to annual system maintenance.

Any saved but unsubmitted W-2 or W-2c Online work will be purged on 12/11/2007 in advance of the scheduled system maintenance.

Beginning 12/17/2007, Wage File Upload, W-2 and W-2c Online will be available to receive Tax Year 2007 submissions. Tax Year 2007 submissions will not be processed until mid-January.

The Acknowledge Resubmission Notice and Request Resubmission Extension services will be unavailable from 12/14/2007 until 1/21/2008. Those needing to acknowledge a Resubmission notice or request a resubmission extension should call 1-800-772-6270 to request assistance.

For employers filing Special Wage Payments according to IRS Publication 957, SSA will accept Special Wage Payment reports from employers via paper Form 131 or via 3490 and 3480 tape cartridge models only.
