Under the provisions of the Inspector General Act of 1978
(Public Law 95-452), as amended, the Social Security Administration`s
Office of the Inspector General reports to the Congress
seminannually on its activities. The reports, which are
issued for the periods ending March 31 and September 30
of each year, describe major issues and concerns identified
during reviews, audits, and evaluations, along with recommendations
for corrective action.
