As mentioned in the main text, the percentage of women receiving benefits as dependents has declined from 57% in 1960 to 32% in 2004, while at the same time the percentage of women with dual entitlement has increased from 5% to 28%. In addition, the percentage of women who are entitled solely on their own earnings records as retired or disabled workers has remained fairly steady over this period at about 38%.
