Background
This transmittal updates Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual chapter I-1-10 to include instructions for processing court cases that involve a subsequent claim(s).
Explanation of Content and Changes
HALLEX I-1-10-50 – This new section provides instructions for addressing a subsequent claim(s) when processing a claim remanded from Federal court.
HALLEX I-1-10-55 – This new section provides instructions for addressing a subsequent claim(s) when processing a claim in which the Appeals Council agreed to a voluntary remand from Federal court.
HALLEX I-1-10-60 – This new section provides instructions for addressing a subsequent claim(s) when processing written exceptions filed after an administrative law judge issues a final decision following a court remand.
