Subject: Workup of Case by Analyst
Background
This transmittal amends Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual section I-2-1-40 to incorporate instructions regarding expedited processing of claims for claimants who have received a 100 percent permanent and total disability compensation rating from the Department of Veterans Affairs. To incorporate the new instructions, we made minor formatting changes.
Explanation of Content and Changes
This transmittal revises I-2-1-40 A by adding a new sub-subsection 2 titled “Veteran 100 Percent Permanent and Total (VPAT).” We included appropriate instruction and reference information regarding these cases. Due to inclusion of this information, we also renumbered all following sub-subsections.
