Chapter: I-3-2
Subject: General Workup and Analysis Procedures
This transmittal amends section I-3-2-15 of the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual to provide additional guidance for requesting evidence from a claimant or appointed representative, if any.
I-3-2-15 – In subsection B.1., we renamed the title and renumbered the note to “Note 1.” We also added “Note 2” in subsection B.1. to explain that staff in the Office of Appellate Operations (OAO) may contact the claimant or representative, if any, by telephone to request evidence or document(s) referred to but not associated with the claim(s) file. We also made minor editorial changes throughout this section.
