Background

This transmittal amends section I-4-8-55 of the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual to update procedures for consistency with current practices of the Division of Civil Actions (DCA).

Explanation of Content and Changes

I-4-8-55 – We amended the title of this section for clarity. We deleted references to recommended dismissals throughout this section as they are no longer used. We amended subsection B to reflect current DCA practices with respect to processing requests to withdraw exceptions filed with the Appeals Council. We also amended the title of subsection B for clarity. We made editorial changes throughout the section.
