Subject: Office of Appellate Operations Division of Civil Actions — Functions and Responsibilities
This transmittal removes section I-4-0-20 from the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual because it contained outdated information.
HALLEX I-4-0-20 – This HALLEX section contained a chart reflecting jurisdictional assignments for the Office of the General Counsel's Regional Chief Counsels' offices and the Office of Program Law based on information published in the Federal Register on January 28, 2014 (see 79 FR 4519). On February 23, 2017, SSA issued another notice in the Federal Register (see 82 FR 11494) replacing the information published on January 28, 2014, thus rendering the chart outdated. We removed the section in its entirety because the information was inaccurate and the updated information is available to the public online at https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/search/pagedetails.action?granuleId=2017-03495&packageID=FR-2017-02-23.
