Background

HALLEX TI 5-430, issued September 9, 1992, discusses Social Security Administration (SSA) policies and procedures for evaluating disability in children who file claims for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits under title XVI of the Social Security Act. Exhibit C of TI 5-430 was a list, compiled by SSA's Office of Disability, of commercially available tests that meet our criteria for reliability, validity, and appropriate normative data. On October 30, 1992, the Office of Disability issued an updated list of such tests. Consequently, we are replacing the original Exhibit C with the updated list.
