Background
The Disability Case Review is a post-effectuation quality review of administrative law judge (ALJ) disability hearing decisions. This dataset includes results from these case reviews for fiscal years (FY) 2009 - 2015. The data is at the national level. We show the agreement rate for favorable decisions and the agreement rate for unfavorable decisions. If additional studies are conducted, we will add the new data to this dataset.
As of 2019, SSA no longer conducts this review.
We included an analysis of the results of our review in our Annual Performance Reports. Learn more by viewing our Annual Performance Reports.
