DEFINITIONS:
A and B: Living independently.
Includes recipients living outside (for state Code A) or within (for state Code B) Chittenden County who:
  • Are not living in the household of another,
  • Are not in a residential or custodial care situation,
  • Are under age 18 and living with a parent,
  • Reside in a private Title XIX facility where Medicaid pays 50 percent or less of the cost of care, or
  • Reside in a publicly operated emergency shelter throughout a month.
C: Assistive community care, Level III.
Includes recipients residing in a Level III residential care home or assisted living residence certified by the state to provide assistive community care services.
E: Living in the household of another.
Includes recipients residing in a federal Code B living arrangement who are not otherwise exempted from state supplementation.
G: Residential care home, Level IV.
Includes recipients living in a Level IV community home identified by the state.
H: Custodial care family home.
Includes recipients who live in another's home, pay room and board, and receive one or more custodial care services, such as help with feeding, dressing, bathing, moving under normal circumstances, or occasional tray service.
I: Medicaid facility.
Includes recipients residing in a federal Code D living arrangement.
