Committee on Economic Security

Unpublished CES Studies

pen nib   Volume IX. Committee Publications

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Volume nine of the CES studies contains many of the formal documents produced by the CES, some of which received a limited publication and distribution in the form of pamphlets or other publications. Even so, most of these documents have never been seen apart from a small circle of Washington experts in the 1930s, and they all have been out of print for more than 60 years.

These publications are especially useful to a general audience in that there were in fact intended for the general reader of the 1930s and so are more accessible and briefer presentations of the CES' case for social insurance.
