We conduct research to study the effects of the Social Security and SSI programs on individuals and the economy. We are also the agency's source for statistics on the Social Security and SSI programs and on the income of covered workers and beneficiaries.
Our team of analysts and researchers help shape the future of SSA programs. They are energetic, creative, intelligent people from a wide variety of backgrounds. They typically have a master's or doctoral degree or equivalent experience in economics, statistics, public administration, or a related field. Our staff also has knowledge of Social Security programs and data, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent quantitative and critical reasoning skills, and the ability to think through complex policy issues.
