Transmittal No. I-2-37

Chapter: I-2-100

Subject: Prehearing Analysis and Case Workup

Background

This transmittal revises HALLEX I-2-155 D., Examples of Special Situations Which May Require a Change in the Order in Which Cases are Assigned, as follows:

  • It changes the title to “Special Situations Which Require a Change in the Order in Which Cases are Assigned.”

  • In D. 1., Critical Case, it adds a reference to terminal illness (TERI) situations.

  • In D. 11., Appeals Council remands, it adds a statement that an Appeals Council remand case must be flagged and assigned immediately.

The transmittal also makes several minor editorial changes to enhance clarity and consistency.
