Background

This transmittal amends chapter I-3-1 of the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual to update the Office of Appellate Operations initial screening procedures of a request for review.

Explanation of Content and Changes

HALLEX I-3-1 is amended as follows:

I-3-1-10 – We changed the title to “Initial Screening – General” to better reflect the purpose of the section. We removed unnecessary information and added helpful links to other HALLEX sections.

I-3-1-11 – We removed the section in its entirety as the information was outdated or duplicative of HALLEX I-3-1-2.

I-3-1-13 – We removed the section in its entirety as the information is outdated or duplicative of HALLEX I-3-1-1.

I-3-1-15 – We removed the section in its entirety as the information is duplicative of HALLEX I-1-1-10 and I-1-1-11.
