SSA's Efforts in Support of the Cuban Boatlift

In 1980, the Cuban government briefly opened a window to emigrants to leave Cuba and travel by boat to the U.S. This became known as the Cuban Boat Lift. SSA played an important role in helping the new immigrants settle in the U.S. That story is told here in a contemporary article from SSA SSA's in-house magazine, the OASIS. (pdf)
