Subject: Court Remand – Appeals Council Decision
Background
This transmittal amends chapter I-4-7 of the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual by modifying the title of the Chapter and adding several sections to the chapter.
Explanation of Content and Changes
HALLEX chapter I-4-7 is modified as follows:
I-4-7 – We changed the title of the chapter to “Court Remand - Appeals Council Decision.”
I-4-7-1 – We titled the section “Appeals Council Decision After Receipt of Court Remand” and incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-80. We also corrected a cross-reference.
I-4-7-5 – We titled the section “Evidence or Issue Development After Court Remand” and incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-83.
I-4-7-15 – We titled the section “Appeals Council Decisions - Proffering Evidence” and incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-3-84. We also corrected a cross-reference.
