Background

This transmittal amends chapter I-4-1 of the Hearings, Appeals and Litigation Law (HALLEX) manual as part of an overall reorganization of Division I-4. This reorganization is intended to organize instructions in a manner that more closely mirror the business practices of the Division of Civil Actions.

Explanation of Content and Changes

HALLEX I-4-1 is amended as follows:

I-4-1 – We changed the title of the chapter to “Receipt of New Civil Action” to more accurately reflect the content of the chapter.

I-4-1-15 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-1-25 without revision.

I-4-1-20 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-1-46 without revision.

I-4-1-25 – We removed the section in its entirety as the information was moved to HALLEX I-4-1-15.

I-4-1-30 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-1-4 without revision.

I-4-1-40 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-7-2 without revision.

I-4-1-41 – We removed the section in its entirety as the information was moved to HALLEX I-4-1-30.

I-4-1-46 – We removed the section in its entirety as the information was moved to HALLEX I-4-1-20.

I-4-1-50 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-7-4 without revision, except we added a hyperlink to HALLEX I-1-5.

I-4-1-55 – We incorporated information previously in HALLEX I-4-7-3 without revision.
