Subject: Blankenship, et al. v. Secretary of Health and Human Services
On January 3, 1990, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky approved a settlement agreement in which the Secretary agreed to continue sending Blankenship notices to Kentucky residents who request hearings on their disability claims.
This instruction incorporates and updates the information contained in OHA Staff Guides and Programs Digest (SGPD)Bulletin III-1(87) issued on February 13, 1987, to reflect the January 3, 1990 settlement agreement.
Remove SGPD Bulletin No. III-1(87).
